Every Irish kid has had at least one of these items in their lunch box during their school years. Funnily enough a few of them have stuck around except for the odd one (cough cough number 7)
Which ones do you remember?
These were a love or hate thing, but either way you would still spend about 15 minutes giving the cheese string floppy hair like he had on the packet (it never really worked out as you ended up eating it along the way!)
2. Sunny D
These were the dream. If you were luck enough to get one as a treat, you knew how cool you were and so did your friends. They were like SO American!!
3. Petits Filous
What kid didn’t have one in their lunch box?? Every mum bought them in the hope of giving their kids strong bones so whether you like them or not.. tough!
4. Pringles Case
These were literally the coolest things going. Mind you that case didn’t hold enough, with Pringles you always want more.. nom nom!
Ok so technically these weren’t in your lunchboxes! But pretty much every school had them. And yes they were usually quite warm by the time you got them and those straws were ridiculously small even if you were 6 years old. But hey everyone loves free stuff!
6. Wagon Wheels
Besides always being given them in your granny’s house, they somehow managed to sneak into your lunchbox too. Even looking back at them now you think: chocolate, marshmallow and biscuit, yum right? No, for some reason they always managed to let you down.
7. Billy Roll
As a kid you definitely begged your mum to buy this for your sambo! Guarantee that you guys wouldn’t touch it now, oh how times have changed!
These are such kids crisps!! Don’t deny that you still sneakily buy them #guiltypleasure
